STS Operations Video
The STS Vacuum Filter is a small vacuum filter to trap liquid before the liquid enters the vacuum pump, potentially damaging the pump and causing premature pump failure. The design of the STS Vacuum Filter allows Inlet air with the potentially harmful liquid and large particulate to enter the housing. This air stream is separated by a baffling mechanism and directional air flow changes. Larger particles and liquid drop down to be collected at the bottom of the separator. The float capsule within the separator screen rises with the liquid level until the filter housing reaches max capacity and limits the flow. Thus, liquids do not enter the vacuum pump and is protected.
